Methanation catalyst SCST-241 is mainly suitable for synthesis ammonia or hydrogen producing plant to convert the low concentration of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide in the hydrogen-enriched feed gas to methane and water. The purpose is to purify the gas.
The main reactions are as following:
CO + 3H2 → CH4 + H2O + 206.2 KJ/mol
CO2 + 4H2 → CH4 + 2H2O + 165 KJ/mol

- Cl- content in feed gas: ≤ 0.03ppm
- Operation temperature range: 230 ~ 430℃
- Inlet temperature on primary stage: 230 ~ 270℃
- Operation pressure: 0.5 ~ 32.0MPa
- Operation space velocity: ≤ 13000h-1
