The First Set of 60000Nm3 / h Methanol Hydrogen Plant Reaches Full Capacity

(Correspondent: Li Hui ) Recently, it is said that the 2.3 million tons / year diesel hydrogenation unit of Luqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd, located in reached the Shandong Yangkou Bohai Chemical Park, reached stable operation.

 The project is the largest single-unit hydrogen production unit with the largest capacity--60,000 Nm³/h and the most advanced technology in China. It is designed by Shanghai Huaxi Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. And its catalyst came from Sichuan Shutai. From March 26 to 29, 2018, the actual production of cracking gas was 91,300 Nm³/h, and pure hydrogen was 60,100 Nm³/h that is jointly demarcated by Luqing Petrochemical, Shanghai Huaxi, and Sichuan Shutai, which met the design indicator. It is a historic breakthrough in domestic R&D, design and catalyst large-scale production.

The device uses a large amount of catalyst and has many operational influencing factors. Luqing technical experts have conducted many exchanges with a number of catalyst trading companies and Sichuan Shutai. He knew that Shutai is the first company who develops the methanol hydrogen catalyst and has a large successful performance. And Shutai can guarantee the delivery date with a capacity of 100 tons / month or more. Finally Luqing decided to purchase the Methanol reforming catalyst SCST-401-53 of Shutai. The catalyst has a high specific surface area, high copper content, high activity, low activation temperature (three highs and one low), and a record of 60100 Nm3/h of pure hydrogen produced after commissioning, with 2.3 million tons/year of diesel. The hydrogenation unit provides a stable source of hydrogen, creating considerable economic and social benefits.
