School-enterprise Cooperation—Shutai Enters the Class

On April 27, 2018, at the invitation of Daying Middle School, Xu Yunbo -general manager and Dr. Li Huabo-chief engineer of Sichuan Shutai Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. conducted aunique school-enterprise exchange activity in the 2018-level innovative class. The lecture is about "Catalysis and Life", and tells students about lifeplanning. It is organized by Liao Yu who is the director of the innovationclass and Xu Yunbo. Li Longquan, the vice president, attached great importance tothe activity and participated in the whole procedure.

Dr. Li Huabo explainedthe relation between our life and the catalyst with briefly and efficientlystatement. In the class, Dr. Li introduced the infinite magic brought bycatalysis to the world and the great contribution of catalysis to humanprogress combining with the daily life in the energy, environment andindustrial manufacture etc. In particular, the video of methanol catalyticcombustion shows the magic of the catalyst intuitively and vividly, whichattracted everyone’s attention and applause. As an innovative talent in the“Thousand Talents Program” in Sichuan Province, “Specially Appointed Experts inSichuan Province”, Academic and Technical Leaders in Suining City, and Doctorof Engineering who has been studying in Japan for many years, Dr. Li demystifiedthe familiar and unfamiliar chemical world for the teachers and students of theinnovation class. And he said “It is my glory to be able to support the educationof the Daying County.”

Then, General Manager Xu Yunbomade a passionate speech entitled "Perseverance, Perseverance, Make aWonderful Life". As a leader in the chemical industry, the spirit ofstriving for innovation, forge ahead, hard work, never stop, has long been alabel of his life. Walking into the long-lost campus, facing a thirsty student,he is not only a successful entrepreneur, but also a generous and wise elderlyand teacher. After sharing his own growth experience and entrepreneurialbitterness with the students, he put forward the ardent expectations of thestudents in the innovation class to study hard, read widely, set goals, andenjoy the pain. Xu’s passionate speech deeply infected the students present. Intheir hearts, they buried a seed that created a life of sorrow, and thestudents expressed their benefits.

After the lecture, thestudents and teachers went to Shutai by bus to visit our R&D room, libaratyand workshop. They were very excited and curious and raised many questions. Ourtechnical staff answered the questions patiently and meticulously. Thisschool-enterprise cooperation activity opens up students' horizons and promotesthe improvement of chemistry professionalism. The activity shows the Shutai’s sentimentsof “Love Daying• Focus on Education” and also highlights the advanced conceptof training high-end talents in the Daying Middle School.
